NuShield screen protectors for the Nav!
I bought them and gave them a try. They supposedly easily snap in under the edges of the screen frame. They are not the sticky type that I have used on my Palm units over the years. The advantage to this approach is no air bubbles under the screen.
They come in a two pack. I struggled with the first one for twenty minutes trying to get it to "easily snap" under the frame edges. They were about 1/16" larger in both directions than the screen. This causes you to have to flex the sheet in several directions while trying to get it under all four sides. After mangling the first sheet and becoming frustrated with this easy process I gave up for that day.
The next time I decided that I might have better luck if I trimmed the remaining sheet down slightly. I trimmed about 1/32' off both directions and tried again. After fifteen minutes I finally got it in place. It looked just ok and in some lighting conditions caused reflection making the screen harder to read.
Several days later I noticed that at times the screen would not respond and would seem to hang until I turned it off and started again. I had this reoccur several times over the next two weeks. I was contemplating taking the car in to have this checked so I decided to remove the screen. The screen immediately started responding correctly and looked clearer.
After some more playing around I finally determimed that the frame around the screen sits so closel to the screen in some places that the thickness of the film was was causing pressure to be applied to the screen resulting in the screen freezing.
They supposedly give you a refund if you are not satisfied. But they want the sheets and your invoice sent back. I kept none of it so I guess i won't get a refund.
Stay away from the NuShield screen protectors for the Accord Nav.
