Default quick question - speakers

i was about to go and buy some boston pro60s for my 03 accord 2-dr. then i got a PM from a fellow 03 accord 2-dr owner and he said the front speakers are 5.25" NOT 6.5" (crutchfield said 6.5"). is this true?

and are the rears 6x9's like crutchfield says? or no?

Ok here is the deal. The stock speaker size is 6.5" in the doors in both sedans and coupes; but the hole in the door is not big enough to fit a normal 6.5" speaker. The stock speaker sticks out about an inch from the door. So the hole only needs to be as big as the back of the cone. Your gonna have to trim the door with a jig saw, which really is easy. Also any speaker with a mounting depth of more then 2" you will need a baffle. HERE is a link on how to make a baffle and properly deaden your doors.

nope, you just cut the hole in the door (the metal part) behind the grill a bit bigger in diameter
