Default Sirius Radio Install

Hey Everyone,

I just picked up aSiriussatellite radio receiver(Sportster 5) I'm looking for advice on where toinstall it in my Accord. I have a 96 ex sedan. I was thinking my best bet would be down by the ashtray area. I just want to make it look good and not all sloppy. Do any of you guys with 5th Gens have any pix of how you installed your Sirius or XM radios? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jon

I did a write-up on how I had mine in my 94, I used the suction cups and put it in the upper left hand side of the window.

SN: I tried your link and got an "access denied" notice.

JB: I installed mine in the lower left corner of the windshield behind my inspection sticker. I took a few pics last night and I'll post them when I get home. ..... kinda crappy and it was too dark, but I have to get something on here!

Nasty - thanks for the idea. Is it a pain to change channels while driving with the receiver in that spot? also I couldn't get that link to work either.

Falk - I'd definitely appreciate those pix when you get the chance.

Thanks

I got the previous model of yours (Sportster 4) and I suctioned to the dean middle/lower of my windshield and just use the remote to which I used velcro and keep it attached on the carpet just in front of my drivers seat (since it never moves as I am the only person who drives my car)....that way I can just reach down and grab the remote and change channels whenever. I was thinking about doing something more permanent....but undecided about my car right now if I am going to even keep it....been starting to look for a either a truck or a newer model.....also ran my power wire down the drivers side and all tucked in and hidden

I just used the remote as well. I don't have a picture of it's mount location but here's the other thread with some pics on wiring that I did
