Speakers and amps....

RE: Speakers and amps....
i have the same budget, as well as a rockford-fosgate x400.4 amp (4x50rms)...and here is what I am doing...
1. Ordered replacement speakers from crutchfield. Went with Polks for the rear and Sony's for the front. Wasn't too high on the sonys, but they had good reviews. I dont like them, i'll return them and get polks for the front too.
2.After installing the speakers, if I dont like the sound (some speakers needto be driven harder tosound good), I'll install the 4ch amp. It has high level inputs.
3. Likely after doing this, it wont have enough bass, so I'll install a sub (1 12") and drive it off half the amp, using the other half for the mids. I'll lose my balance, but, i can deal with that.
4. If it still lacks sound quality, then I will look into a jl cleansweep, but those will eat the budget really fast, so it is a final step.
