Does anyone know if 2 ten inch alpine type R hits harder or 2 ten inch rockford fosgates.
I need to know asap because i traded my fosgates in for alpines because i heard it hits a lot harder, but it seems like it doesnt.

did you check the rms and maximum watts on each. Just the name alone will not help to determine that. Do you know the model numbers? The amp also makes a difference.

Oh I think this should be in the audio section

Hey everyone Im back long time no see
It's all gonna come down to the amps your using to push the subs, also what series of subs are they high or low end..... i've always heated Alpine but they do make some good products.

My girlfriend has two 10" Type-R Alpines in her car with an Alpine amp pushing 900 watts and they pound. They would be stronger but the box they are in has a couple leaks that we are trying to fix.

you also have to consider an actual decibal increase. they may actually be louder but not enough to notice. i cant remember the exact figure but to double your sound output you have to quadruple your power and double surface area. the easiest way to get more bass is to add subs or get bigger subs. they move more air!
