That depends mostly on your price range. If you want to reduce rattle, invest in dyno mat and do the entire trunk. So what price range are you looking at. Also this is not the correct section, a mod will move it to the A/V section so no need to make another one there.

The A/V section only let you post in a special way, so thats probably why its here...

As for rattles... my trunk doesnt rattle too bad, its other interior pieces like the dome light that make most of the noise for me. If you dont want to shell out $$$ for dampening mat, the cheap expanding foam insulation has been reported to work wonders, along with carpet padding.

I absolutely love my 12" CVX and ZX750.1 combo. My sub is louder than most dual sub setups, but still has pretty darn good SQ. The CVX won a few SQ contests when it first came out, it may have won more I just know about those when I was researching the CVX. If you really want the best sub I would for a JL 12" W7 with a quality 1000w block. The W7 is just about the best sounding sub in the industry, but not the loudest and is only a bit over your price range.

my main focus is on SQ. Loudness would be a plus but id rather have good clean sound insted of distorted loud bass.I was looking into the MTX Thunders they seemed pretty good i listen to a lot of techno nd rap nd with the techno songs i dnt want the bass to be delayed wud a 12in sub be ok with a faster beat?

A 12" would be ok with fast bass, but a 10" would be better. A 10" will give you the best SQ, 10"s have a nice tight clean bass to them. Sounds to me like you would love a 10" W7. The W7 is the best SQ sub hands down in my opinion.

im definetly considering those but i may be re-thinking about how much i want to spend on just the sub if i spend too much on the sub i may not be leaving enough $ for amp. (and if needed a cap.) so if u have any ideas of somthing that would be a little bit cheaper but still have good quality tht wud be great
