A 10" W7 and amp will be around $700, which is your price range right? A 12" would be closer to $1000.

im re-thinking how much i want to put into the actual subwoofer. I also need amplifiers and i need to switch out all of the speakers in the car i still have the stock ones and they are starting to go so i may need to cut back on how much money i spend on the subwoofer and try to focus more on the entire car sound system.

My system minus the HU was around $1400. I really love my system, and I feel the quality for the money is really exceptional.
