New Accord Touring V6 on order
Hi: New guy here and I just ordered a 2013 Accord Touring V6.Apparantly my dealer could not locate one,so it has to be built/assembed in Ohio,I am in Ontario.
I won't take delivery till around the first week of July....bummer!!
Anyways, this Touring V model is supposed to come with led headlights, but I have been reading that only the low beams are led. If this is correct, can the high beams be fitted with led's without too much trouble?
Seems that is one thing the salesman failed to mention?!.,that's if it's true? Can someone verify this.
Also the tail-lights are also supposed to be led....brake and back-up's are led? Thanks.

I have the Touring and I do not find that having non-LED high beams to be a problem. Can see just fine, I do like the LED low beams. They seem to be better than the standard lights. Changing the high beams to LED, I don't thing can be done however you could change then to the Sylvania SilverStar bulbs. They are brighter but they will not last as long as the standard bulbs.
Tail lights and brake lights are LED, but the back-up lights are not.
Enjoy your new Accord Touring. I love mine.

Thanks! I think you are correct about the Sylvania bulbs not lasting as I had them in my 97 Ford Escort GT and they(one) lasted not even one year. They only sold them in pairs back then. Thanks

Led interior bulb kit....any problems?
Hi: I notice that everybody seems to be replacing their interior incandescent bulbs, license plate, trunk, etc with led's. Any trouble with the car spitting out a "bulb out" code or any other troubles associated with changing out these bulbs?. Not talking headlights. Thanks,HB

I don't believe that is possible as it is my understanding that there are exactly zero plug compatible LED bulb units for OEM Halogen bulbs.

Yeah....I never thought about the difference in the connectors (plugs) on the two types of bulbs. Thanks,Hot Brass

Hi: I have been reading about peeps that are changing over to led for turn signals, etc are having to buy either resistors or a different flasher in order to run them( flashing too fast).
I don't plan on changing out my turn signals, (not yet) but I will be changing out the license plate and back-up lights for sure, plus map, dome and trunk to led's......so any problems ahead electrically? Thanks,HB
