Choice #1: Paint center cap with regular paint, then clear top coat then put the "H" decal on

Choice #2: Paint center cap with regular paint, then put "H" decal on and then clear top coat

rustolem is probally good enough id take some steal wool to the place you were painting first incase it has some gloss or anything like thati wouldnt paint them witle they were on the car id take and lay them flat, tape off all that you dont want painted, let it dryCOMPLEATLYthen put on the clear coat, dry. thne put the H on with a small ammount of 2 part epoxy for metalclean of any excess with a wet towel or anythign else you dont mind tossing. let that dry then put another clear coat on. at least that is how i would do it.

Where can you have center caps made?
What choice did you go with? And how did it turn out?

i took the center caps from the rims that i bought. The center caps was in good shape but just the front where the "H" was had alot of corrosion. sanded it and then sparyed it with Rust Oleum Silver Metallic Indoor/Outdoor from Home Depot. Sparyed it about about 2-3 coats. Then I used clear top coat from an auto store, the one that they use on a car. Sprayed it about 2 coats. Then I used super glue to put my "H" decal on the center caps that i ordered from prostreetgraphics.com. Then i sparyed about 3-4 more coats of the top clear coat. Vola! Done! Here's a picture of one if them......
