Default How to reattach exterior car door trim?

Hi guys, the black plastic trim that runs across the exterior of the driver's door has fell off my car. The original clips are still intact and reusable but the sticky stuff that held the trim firmly isnt so sticky anymore.

What do I use to reattach the door trim? Does heavy duty double-sided tape work? What do car restorers usually use?

And I'm gonna move this to the detailing section, since it's not really about engine internals.

Welcome newbie!
