01 accord v6 EX sedan EGR problem.
Hi,
I have a 01 V6 accord sedan. Recently, it have check engine on, I used OBDII reading that was EGR valve problem. I cleared the code, it came back about 4 weeks later.
I talked to a mechanic, he told me that the valve getting dirty, and he can clean it by using some long cleaning cable or something.
Do you think what he said is right? Is it easy to do? Do we have any DIY post about that? Thank you.
Best Regards,
Eric

This link is for the Honda TSB:

I also attached a picture of another EGR port on the engine that people sometimes miss cleaning, since it is not illustrated on the TSB. This is the port referred to in step #15 of the TSB.
Essentially, the EGR port cleaning should be done on the intake manifold and the engine.
