Default 10W-30 Oil

I recently got an oil change for my 2001 Accord 4 cyl.

The owner's manual calls for 5W-20 (I think) but I think that the shop might have used 10-30. Should I be concerned?

Thanks.

I agree, no worries. Next oil change go back to 5W20. BTW, the oil they put in should be on your receipt.

Thanks for the feedback, that's what I was thinking.

It did state on the recipt 10-30...but I thought it might be a default because that's what most cars take.

I mean, it says Fill With 5-20 right on the oil cap....you gotta be spacing out to not notice. Was trying to give benefit of doubt.

Were it me I would go back to the place and demand they put in 5W20 and a new filter. The 30 weight won't hurt a thing but why put up with such stupidity? Like you said, it's on the cap.... bigger than Dallas!

working in the garage - i'd advice you to show up for an oilchange bring the oil with you - because you dont wanna know what kinda oil they use for oil changes - its recycled 10W30.

trust me bring your own oil!
