Default 2001 transmission and idle problem

I thought I already posted this but, here I am so. Well I replaced the transmission. Before replacing the check eigine light was on, but I knew there was an existing problem with the trans. and desided to correct this problem first. The reason for the replacement is, a leak started. My wife was not able to keep it out of the road, and ended up trashing the thing. Well since the replacement, the D4 light flashes, as well as a delay in shifting, from park to whatever.
Also there is a problem with the idle. When the car warms up about 10 minutes, it starts reving, up and down. Is there anyone out there with a possible cause and solution. Please Help!

we ned more info ( like Chio replied)

As for the tranny issue , i would take it back to whomever repalced your tranny and have them repair it for you ,( free of charge )
And if the d4 lite started to blink right away ( soon after ) , you should have taken it back ASAP..... I am sure you paid quite a bit of money for a tranny replacement .
