6th gen and 7gen V6 HP

RE: 6th gen and 7gen V6 HP
it depends on what 7th gen you're planning to get. The auto would lose a lot more hp to the wheels than the manual. The 6th gen v6 only puts about 165-175 hp to the wheels. Wheras the 7th gen auto v6 puts roughly around 218-228 hp to the wheels, the manual maybe 230-235 hp.

I guess I should have worded the Question differently but thanks for your replies, what I like to know is what internal differences did Honda make to the 7th gen V6 to increase the hp from 200 in my 6th gen to the 240 of the 7th gen. I like my 6th gen but would like to improve on it a little but still keep it relatively stock looking. Have the sleeper look, I enjoy the look on peoples faces when I beat them off the line LOL

from wikipedia:
"The J30 displaces 3.0L and is a SOHC VTEC design. Output for the J30A1 was 200hp (149kW) and 195ft·lbf (264N·m) of torque. The J30A4 pushed output to 240hp (179kW) and 212ft·lbf (287N·m) using a three-way VTEC system, higher (10:1) compression ratio, and a novel exhaust manifold cast as one piece with the cylinder head. This version was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2003 and 2004."

Storms: The J32A2 camshaft on a J30A1 engine is worth about 10 HP at the wheels or about 12 at the crank. The bigger difference is the middle VTEC step that they replaced in the J30A4 as Velo posted from Wikipedia. Wikipedia has a rediculous amount of info on honda engines. Give it a read sometime.
