94 Accord EX 105k Trans issues
New to site, have had an accord in the family since i can remember. We have a 94 LX with 320K on it and runs fine, it even took out an Audi and still drove away but that's not what i am trying to get at.
We bought a 94 EX recently expecting the same result as the LX but we think the trans has gone out. The thing that gets me is the car only has 105k miles on it.
Now here is what happened the car was driving and then it just felt like it had no pulling power but engine was fine. Had to pull over and all the car had was reverse. No warning or anything, and when you try to put it in gear it didn't feel like there was any pull or resistance or anything like that, all it had working was reverse. We got it towed to a friends lot and it sat for about a week and went back and the car had no electricity what so ever, no lights, no dash lights, nothing. We tried a different battery and still no luck. My question is what do you think it is??
thank you
and any ideas would be appreciated.
(now it was raining when this happened and we have had trouble once when it rain hard once to get it started but that shouldn't affect the trans, right??)

Check ATF level in transmission. If nothing has been done previously, suggest a drain/refill w/ Honda ATF, expensive but good stuff.
Did D4 light start blinking? Get codes by shorting service check connector under glove box (blue 2-wire connector). See DIY forum for guidance on taking and reading codes.
good luck

But the trans fluid level is good and and doesnt smell burnt. The other thing is we got it running they took out the a fuse. No codes (other than the Radio XD) were flashing and just the ABS light is on. and we think it is still the trans cause we got it to run foward a bit when it was cold but after it warmed up awhile it started slipping again.

Suggest checking for trans codes anyway. A few codes don't set the D4 light blinking so no indication of presence.
Starting problem is probably not related to transmission problem. Check battery wires and ignition switch (are you getting a start signal to starter). Ignition switches fail and leave a dark panel. Easy 30 min replacement.
Transmission may be toast. Hydraulic symptoms chart for "slipping in all gears" says oil pump worn or binding, pressure regulator stuck, and ATF strainer clogged. Only pressure regulator stuck is perhaps possible to fix using an additive and hoping it frees itself. Others will require transmission repair. You can check "line pressure" of the trans to confirm low pressure.
