94 prelude tranny
This may or may not be a stupid question. As far as my knowledge goes, I wouldn't know. Lol.
From what I've gathered, the 4th gen (1992-1996) VTEX Preludes has H22A1 engines and transmisions.
If I can manage (And that's not that big of an if, really) to get a transmission out of one of these 4th gen vtec 'ludes, how great of an effect will it have on my F22b1? And if I do the swap, do I have to swap the ECU?

When I swapped in a M2B4 transmission(jdm h22 LSD transmission) it took .7 off my 1/4 miles time.
Some factors to consider:
decreased gas mileage(you will be at a higher rpm at a lower speed)
h23(92-96 non vtec 2.3l preludes) have very similar gearing so either would work
transmissions are notorious for 5th gear grinds.
You wouldn't have the swap the ECU(assuming your car is a manual). Not sure about an automatic, its not my specialty.

F22 trans has taller gears because that engine makes more torque at lower RPM.
H22 trans has shorter gears because that engine makes it's power at higher RPM.
Each is kinda matched to take advantage of the characteristics of the engine. H22 trans on a F22 engine will have it revving high & running out of breath.
