Live2Rice will know...

You could swap in a H22 with that money

I bet you could find an H22 and a 5speed tranny for a grand and use the remaining $300 to get the engine in top shape before swapping it in.

You would spend more money getting the F22 to the same power as a standard H22

They never made a F22B DOHC.

They made:

- F22B1 SOHC 16V 2.2L VTEC
- F22B2 SOHC 16V 2.2L non-VTEC

and

- F20A/B/C, none of which were offered in the US and one of them was DOHC.

You will make more power with an H and it's an easy swap.

Wrong finch, F22B is a JDM non-vtec DOHC motor that makes 160hp if I recall correctly.

$1300 a little short for any major modifications. If you do all the work yourself you MIGHT be able to pull off a H22 swap, doubt able that you could pull off a H22 swap and 5spd conversion for that much.

I know a few people that are into modifying the F22, but not many. Just saw a G22 build(H22 head on a F22 block).

Then teh Wikipedia has failed meh.

Still think the H22 can be DIY'ed for under $1300
