Default 96 accord hesitating and bucking

I'm driving a 96 accord with a 2.2l, manual, non vtech. It has been to the shop twice in the last couple of weeks due to the engine hesitating and bucking on acceleration. It seems to happen more right after startup whether warm or cold, but probably more noticably when cold. The hesitation is more common at slower speeds, but also at freeway speeds. The shop can't find anything wrong in specific since there are no cel codes, but found an o2 sensor not working up to par (reading slow) and a loose connection at the coil. They felt the coil connection was the problem, but the hesitation persists.

So far I've taken the advice of search function and changed the distributor cap and rotor and cleaned the TB. The plugs and wires were changed about 30k ago with the timing belt so I guess I'll change them just to rule out any basic tuning issues. Thanks for the help.

I have a 94 Accord EX that does the same thing when its cold. Hesitates in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears. Almost feels like the fuel pump is cutting out.

Then when the car warms up it never has a problem. I know this doesn't really answer your question but I would like to see if there is anything else besides what you have done already, to check.

Before you go and change the plug wires check the Ohms between the wires. If it read resistance then there good if not there bad Just a lil help so you don't waste your money if there not bad. Also maybe take the EGR Valve off and see how bad the carbo build up is on and scrap some off.

I've already replaced plugs, wires and rotor. (While checking basic maintenance it turned out I had oil in the spark plug tubes and I replaced the valve cover gasket and seals). Still having acceleration issues..

Next, I'm going to clean the egr passages and check for vacuum leaks. Thanks for the reply!
