Accord 2004 V4 Automatic Transmission
Hi
I have 2004 accord, V4 with Automatic Transmission. Today i faced a strange problem with the Automatic Transmission. Its not engaging the gear as it used to. Gear are changed and there is no acceleration, rRPM is going up but car is not moving at all. Sometimes it moves according to its own will works for a while and then again the same thing.
And if it continues for a while the Green light in front of "D" starts blinking
I even tried Gear 1 , 2 AND D3 but non is engaging the gear.
What can be the possible problem

its a L4. And gear requires overhauling.
I gave it to a mechanic, honda was charging me a lot
If the gear is repaired once, will the problem be solved for a longer period of time or should i sell it immediately.
A tip given bythe local mechanics here was since my gear oil wasn't changed for 80,000km i must not have changed it. Once u change it after a long period of time, the problem starts. So all sort of opinions are there. Any way the mechanic told me that the clutch plate, seals, oil etc everything will b required which will cost abt $600 in addition to labor charges
