well if i was looking at just tuning it slightsly for gas milage wouldnt i just be able to lean it a little bit and then see what my gas milage is???? on any A/F controller cant li just push it up and down a few notches to see what my milage would do and if it would do anything wouldnt i be able to tell???? im not tryin to gain horsepower tho its more for gas milage..... but next summer i was thinkin bout puttin on a turbo so which one out there is best for me?????

If you want to tune for MPG, you should get an onboardwideband O2 meter to go with the AFC and tune it to about 14.2. You won't see much of a gain in MPG and you will cause the engine to run a little hotter. V-AFC is not adequate for a turbo setup.

Also, are you bi-polar? You want to tune for MPG this year and turbo next year? Do you really think that gas prices are going to go down? Perhaps for a bit around the presidential elections, but our government is so wrapped around Ossama's nu+$@ck that gas will never be affordable.

I'm going to have to develop something pretty soon! I think I'm going to start with biodeisel technology so my car can run off of garbage like in Back to the Future 2 ..... read up on making biodeisel yourself, it's not so different.

For real, repeatable gain in MPG, use hydrogen boost injection. If you just tune it lean you'll gain 2-3% power for 30-40% increase in combustion temps beating on your top ring land. Also stop driving like speed racer. If you keep RPMs down below 4k for most of your driving and use CC if you have it you can get 31.2mpg (averaged, usually 80-90% hwy) like me. If you live above 5-6k and in vtec all the time, you'll gobble gas.

btw. Turbos make you guzzle gas exponentially.

^^^ I'm still waiting to see a report from a reputable company on that hydrogen injection system. I've read the sales pitches and I am interested in it, but I haven't seen anything definative that I can trust. I'll probably have to build one myself to find out that it was a waste of money .... it wouldn't be the first time.

I've looked into making a hydro only car using an existing FFV system. There's gaseous fuel injectors already. It'd be the same as tuning for power using a dyno and wideband A/F sensor. Hydro is so potent though that you have to use some form of forced induction to get the proper a/f ratio. If you use it as a boost for a gas engine though you don't need to. It's not free mpg, but it's cheaper than gas. Not to mention, it's better for the environment.

ok i see what u mean but for now im interested in mpg when i have the money for a turbo i will have money for a new controller... my fault on that one but i dont race like speed racer i always shift from 2700 to 3300 depending on mood and my engine is a f22b2 so i dont have the option of vtec....

also if we drill in alaska it is said that we would actually be selling oil to other countries... there is something to wrap your head around.
