Is an ecu upgrade wht i need??
Im looking to get more power out of my 2007Accord V6 without breaking the bank on a turbo. i have already installed a cai and a magnaflow exaust system with a high flow cat. Is the next logical step an ecu upgrade? The overwhelming amount of contradictory information out there is quite confusing.

you can get a tune able ecu that is chipped with some type of tuning software (hondata/crome) Then you will need to get a tune. But with the v6's I'm unsure what ecus to use b/c your OBD2 and I'm 99% sure they use immobilizer ecus from 1997-98(?) to curent modles. So you will have to find a way around that issue first. You might be able to swap to OBD1 and run a older v6 ecu and get it tuned. But don't expect to get a whole lot of power. With your intake and exhaust you added MAYBE 4hp MAX. With a tune you could possible double that number MAYBE even squeeze 10hp out of your set up with a really really good tuner and a really really good DYNO tune...NOT a street tune.

Well your ECU won't make more power. Your aftermarket parts and a tune is what gains your power.
look into porting your intake manifold with a bigger TB that is port matched. You can get better cam with a adj. cam gear.
Also I would look into stiffer sway bars and get a set of strut bars and a good suspension set up. You can have good bit of power but does no good if you can’t apply it all to the ground successfully
