Default engine swap

Hi my name is mike and I'm in Ohio I have a 1990 accord. I was wanting to know what is the best engine to swap with or if someone could rebuild a engine the way I want it and how much that will run me?

Well, what are your goals? You say "the way I want it" but don't give us any idea as to what that is.

There are many options that will give different results....just know each has a cost to it. So your goals and budget have to match.

A budget and horsepower goal are always the first thing you want to establish when starting a project.

Best engine? Well I'd say the best would be a supercharged v8 from a mclaren-mercedes, but the cost on that would be insane.

Best Honda engine? K24 or J35, but those swaps have price tags in the 5 figures most of the time.

Most common? H22, or turbo your stock engine.

Wow, gotta tell you, I'm having a difficult time wrapping my brain around the concept of doing a $10,000+ engine swap on a 1990 Accord. Maybe it's just me but for that kind of money I'd rather buy or build an old M3 or S2000 or something akin to those two.

Yeah that is why I ditched my K24 back in the day, had the built long block, and realized I still needed $5,000+ in transmission, ECU, mounts, axles etc.
