Default Engine Swap

Hey all i got a 2000 honda accord coupe automaticwith a f23a4 engine. Anyway Its got 150k on it and my plan was to not change the timing belt and water pump. And it till the thing dies out on me so then i would swap in a h22a. Like this one. https://www.tigerjapanese.com/produc...roducts_id=104

It has a manual transmission so ialso want to do the transmission swap. My question is will all the motor mounts fit perfectly alsio since the whole engine and trans is gonna cost me about $2150, how much do you think installion will cost. I hope it isnt anything over $1000. Also will all my after market partsfit on the h22. Also i wanted to know will o have problems with emissions and getting the car inspected.I live in New york and iam not sure if there a law about it. I know Califorina is real bad on it. Any tips, suggestions, warnings would be greatly appeciated. Thxx all.

ps- my car hasnt died on me yet and it actaully running like a beast, but i want to pepare for the worst.

You're header won't fit. That's about it, you'll need a custom driver's side motor mount and will cost more than $1000 to swap it in especially if you plan on converting to manual at the same time.

there is a shop up here in New Hampshire that has done tons of honda engine swaps(at least 3 H22 accord swaps) their rough estimate is 1300, and thats not converting from automatic to manual.

as for the inspection thing, most places convert the car to OBD1, which can make it tricky to get it inspected, luckly around here there are alot of crooked inspection places.

Only one problem with those I-Vtec's.....they sit so the intake is forward and exhaust is in the back of the engine bay, and the tranny is on the left side of the car now.. Take a lot of work to fit one of those into a standard bay.
