Okay so a used engine is coming, it had with 50k miles on it and the warranty is 1yr parts and labor for $900. I bought a timing belt kit from NAPA for $130 to install in to the new motor. I'm starting pulling the motor out. The hood is out the way, battery and holder is out. Disconnected all the wiring, A/C and power steering pump out the way i'm thinking of pull the motor and tranny together is that sounds right ?

yes. you need to cain up the driver side of the engine ONLY. When you pull the engine out the trans will tip down clearing everything so that you can pull the engine and trans out as one.

Yeah that's how i pulled it, took me about 4 hr to pulled it, but this is the 1st time i done one. But the good thing is i did not break any wire or connector. Waiting for the new motor now. Here's some pix if someone wants to see it :-) http://imageshack.us/g/543/hondaaccord014.jpg/

By the way, since the motor is out of the car, i blew some air into the coolant hose that goes to the heater core and the other hose that come out from the heater core into a can, kindda like back flushing it, can't believe how much crap come out from it.

So the motor come in today, but doesn't look like an accord motor, looks like the one from a civic 1.7 01 up so i told them i don't want it. i got another one coming on Monday from a different place with 25k on it for $900, sounds too low to believe only 25k for an 02 accord right ?

Okay i got the 02 accord motor came in today, everything looks good, the only thing is it's an ULEV and mine is LEV, anyone know would it work with my car without changing the ECM ? The motor look super clean, i took the valve cover off and look inside everything look super clean so i believe it only had less than 25k on it.

Okay so i ended up installed the ULEV into my car, which was a LEV, with some minor mods it got it running pretty good now, did not set CEL yet. I'm using original ECM and wire harness over. The RPM is around 750, i think it's a little bit on the low side for a 5sp, but the new motor came from an auto, i don't know if it make a different or not.

new crate motor 20k from an 02 ULEV auto ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting. New timing belt and water pump just because the motor is 9yrs old and it's out of the car so it's easy to do ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting Here's what looks like under valve cover for a clean engine ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting Stripping the ex. manifold since i'm running header anyway, pull the harness off because i'm using original harness ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting Dropping the motor in ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting Reusing this sensor from my old motor because the new one don't use it, they just plugged it up ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting I plug this vacuum port off just like the old motor ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting.
I have to eliminate what ever this ...thing is since mine doesn't have it ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting It's in ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting I had to replace the map sensor, made the engine surging like crazy so i swapped the old one in and that fixed the idle surging.
All done for now, drove it about 20 miles so far without any problem yet, cross my finger ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting
