F20b or H22A?
Hey all knew to this forum. Was wondering your thoughts on swaps. Im looking to either drop an H22a in like most others OR a f20b to have an SiR-T or euro R. What do you think of each? I know H22 is an FRM which some people swear by and some swear at.
What all does each need extra for the swap besides the actual clip? New axels/intake/exhaust/mounts? etc.

H22 is cheaper and easier, that's for sure. The FRM sleeves will be able to handle low boost if that's your plan. Any boost higher than 6-8psi, you should probably do some internal work and at least get it re-sleeved at the least.

The f20b is the cheaper engine where i live, the complete swap (minus tranny) for an h22 is slightly over a grand, whereas the f20b is only around $700. And these prices are in Canadian $$$ from a reputable shop.

That price includes everything except tranny, it comes with distributor, ac compressor, power steering pump, alternator, etc. i was quoted $1300 w/ installation for the f20b. For some reason ALL the shops around where i live seem so cheap compared to prices i see from American web sites, i dont know why. Plus, these engines are guarenteed under 50k km, and come with 90 day unlimited km warrenty. It's mostly the F and H sereis engines that are rediculously cheap around here, B and K series are considerably more. My friend told me at one point he saw an f20b on clearance from a shop around here for $500!
