1st off what gen and trim accord do you have? If you can find a h23 head that is fully swappable. If you don't want a head swap then you can use h23 intake manifold and it will bolt right up. But you have to make sure you have the "black box" to control the butterflies for your high end air flow. The f22 and h23 exhaust manifolds are the same. But if you have the f22a1 you can swap for the f22a4 exhaust manifold and gain couple ponies. You can also get the f22a6 cam shaft and ECU. The f22a6 cam is more aggressive then the f22a1/4. But make sure you grab the ECU it is a must.
Now if you have the f22bx engines then NONE of the h23 parts will swap over. Thos heads suck big time. Crappie flow and SOHC vtec is performance pointless.
But I need to know what gen and trim accord you have to really tell you what all can be done to add some more power by using stock parts. Please put that in your sig or right under your name like mine "1993 accord"

i have a 1993 4 door lx and also a 1993 2 door. Both engines are stock F22s but i dont know what kind. (1st time modding a honda engine) You mentioned a head swap(what would it improve?) and what else can i swap? Thanks

you can also tell the engine code stamp on the block...
h23 head flows better in stock forum than the f22. that and it also has the better intake manifold
here is a pic to show you where the engine code stamp is...its located to the left of your header where the engine and tranny just about meet

do a head swap and you will be fine. h23 head works well w/o swapping pistons. h22 head you will need to swap for higher c/r pistons to use vtec.
Or you can swap for a f22a head since it's a much much better head than any of the f22bx heads

so both of your cars have the same engine the f22a1. The lowest HP f22 engine PGFI engine they make..lol
At that point you can use the h23 intake manifold with the f22a6 cam and ecu with the f22a4 header and you will be around 160 maybe 170 with good intake exhaust. But I strongly recommend getting at least a street tune. Then you can pull out prob. 180hp. Which is really GOOD power for a single slammer f22

don’t do a thing to the auto trans. Swap them out for h22 or h23 5speed trans. When you start adding more power over stock your tranny won't like it and will fail out very very soon. So you best bet if for the 5 speed swap.
