Default f22b2 bent rod.. next step

so i have a bent rod and was planning on doing a h22 swap

but sadly im only 900$ cash in pocket and the junk yards currently dont have one.

i want to run vtec but i also have to remember my budget

any ideas or helpful tips?

js, im in missouri and doing all the labor myself.

would a f23a1 head swap work? just to get it running till i can afford a whole swap?

Did you move?.....your IP address is CA?

Anyway, try "car-part dot com" and search for engines in your area. Just remember are some things you'll want/need to replace during the swap.....so if you can get an engine in the four to five range,,,,the rest will go for those - timing belt, wp, rear main, misc hoses, fluids, ect....

swapping heads would get you by for time being, but make sure u get everything from donor car that you would need, power you want still wouldnt be there like the h22

Ah, just me but if a connecting rod is bent.....a head swap is not going to do anything for the OP? Or were you going somewhere else?
