It is basically an H22 head(assuming you are talking about the H23a DOHC VTEC JDM engine).

i am, and i know its pretty much an h22 but longer strokes, i'm still on the fence about which one to go with because the h23 is suppose to have better lower end torque right? but the h22 has alot of aftermarket support.

Well any H22 intake manifold, header, cams, etc will fit the h23, its just rods and maybe pistons that wont.

Ok hold on we are talking about a h23a vtec right? If so that is the same engine as the h22 in every way. Except it has a f22/h23 crankshaft. So all the aftermarket support that is out there for the h22 will be the same from the h23a.
