I had a 5 cylinder engine once .... in a 1990 Audi 100. That thing was slow as b@llz! It also had some really weird stuff like a mechanical linkage throttle instead of a cable, an angle iron for rear chasis support, mounted on an incline .... I think upward toward the driver side ..... I think it was instead of a tie bar and sway bar.

Hey Jon, you want me to count how many times you've answered the same question (bouncing tach...) from different people??? I bet you just wanted an excuse to use a couple new cartoons.

No joke! I have sympathy for those with the bouncing tach issue in the V6 though. I know I searched over and over and over again before I even started that thread. Then when I was about to give up and just live with the problem, I searched some more. I guess I finally typed in the correct words and voila! There was my answer in a really old thread. Chio had already suggested the coil as a possibility, but I didn't want to replace parts till I was sure. Testing it while in the car was impossible (Believe me, I tried) unless you have a VOM that is curved at the end and has a mirror on it so you can see where you are sticking the needles.
I love how now somebody took their V6 to Honda and they replaced the coil for free though. All of that work seemed for nothing, but I guess it made me feel better that I was able to fix it on my own.

Oh yeah, and Brizzle...welcome to the site. I did not intend to come off as a jerk yesterday. This same question has been asked a lot this month though, that's why I posted my new "whipping the dead horse" cartoons. Jim was right.I have been waiting for an excuse to use them!

The "Honda G series" engine is an inline 5 cylindergasoline engine, originally used in the 1992 Acura Vigor and Honda Accord. [&:]

Producing 176 hp @ 6300 rpm..and torque of 170ft·lbf @3900 [8D]

the redline was 6800 rpm [:'(]
NO

The G25 was never in an accord.So you're wrong...twice

We're talking about a hybrid motor using H and F parts.
you guys just refer to it as the 96 acura tl,which might as well be considered in the honda line seeing how it is a honda. and i was responding to falklore but i think he was being sarcastic which is why i highlighted honda G series. and no i am not wrong twice the only thing thats wrong is the honda accord statement which i meant to put acura TL(1996)other then that that is completely acurate, care to check up on it?

LOL .... yup ... sarcasm. I've read all about Frankenstein Honda engines.I wish Yotas were as versitile. I'm likely going to have to design and custom fab a new intake manifold because I don't like the stock plastic clamshell that comes on the tc.
