Question Hello Im new here and have a serious engine question.

Ok, I have a 1994 Accord EX 5 speed and it only ran for 8 days! Apparently the oil pump went out on the freeway and the cam locked up so my mechanic said I need a new engine. So since I am going to put a new one in I would like to go with a H22, but I have no idea of what will fit my car. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and God Bless.

Wich motor do you have? The f series motor will can be swapped with an h22 idk if the v6 will swap or not. Depending on wich h22 u use youll have to extend some wiring, fuel line w jdm motor, depending on your swap you may have to modify the f22 ds mount to fit if you swap doesnt include that mount, front mount will change, I believe u can use f22 or h22 trans but the h22 is commonly used as it has shorter gearing, jdm motors will need a map sensor as theres are located on the firewall and not with the swap, you can use your accord axles or prelude axles but will need fhe ds halfshaft for wichever axles you go with. Gl with your swa not sure if the h22a4 requires less mods or not. Oh yeah youll need all your f22 brackets for ac and alt and extend fuel line and power steering hoses unless u dont mind going without.

V6 will not fit. In spite of being the same 'generation', the 95-97 V-6 cars had a longer hood & bigger engine bay.

I'm gonna move this to Engine/Internal. Look over there, there's quite a few threads about swapping H-engines into Accords.
