Increasing Piston Stroke

RE: Increasing Piston Stroke
First, keep in mind that the clutch connects & disconnects the engine from driving the car.
Press down the pedal to DISengage the clutch = DISconnect the engine.
Lift the pedal to engage the clutch = connect the engine.
Forget U-tube, there too much stupid stuff there. FIND AN EMPTY PARKING LOT. Then find a friend with a 5-speed.
Press down the clutch to disengage.
Shift lever into first. Dont press the gas pedal (for now).
SLOWLY lift the clutch pedal until the RPM begins to drop a bit.
Spend a minute or 2 practicing fine control of the clutch pedal so you get familiar with the position where it begins to engage.
Now you get to use the gas pedal...
Engine at maybe 2000 rpm or so.
Lift the clutch pedal to that magical engagement position.
This time, apply some gas so the RPM doesnt drop.
As you apply gas, lift the pedala bitmore (Thats the pendulum action you mention).
As the car gets moving, you can lift the clutch pedal all the way.
As you do this, the clutch is slipping, wearing itself out.
The GOAL is tolearn to dothis in one smooth motion. It takes PRACTICE.
Be prepared to press the clutch pedal back in before you run the car into something.
Shifting from 1st to other gears can be later. Practice just starting out from a complete stop. Thats the BIG skill. The rest will be easy.

I learned driving stick at the age of 12,taking my brothers then 00 GSR,for runs on back roads..Fun times, stalled a bunch, but its a learning curve.
Ibelieve every male should learn to drive it...Nothing sexier than a woman speeding past you in an evo.
