Default k20 or h22

So in a few months, I will be looking to buy a 94-97 accord coupe for a second car and a new project... Ive been thinking about which swap I should do... There are many swap guides, and kits for h22's in accords, but not as much info and what not for a k20 swap... Im wanting to get some outside opinions just to ease my mind... Anyone???
I will be keeping the f22b2 in the 97 and just doing a few more upgrades to it... Ive seen quite a few threads on factory parts from other f22's that perform better and are direct bolt ons...But most of these threads I see are for the 90-93's... Are they the same principle for the 94-97's???

Well the most expensive thing when doing a k swap is the motor itself, i realize i can pic up a nice h22 for 1k or so, but ive got a buddy with a wrecked civic that has a k20 swap done... So i will probably buy his motor...And thanks for the info on the oem mods... That will be my next project, is to look into buying all the parts for the parts swap...

Hmmm...Well that helps a little...Idk...I might just buy the motor anyways, because it is a hell of a deal, and i dont wanna pass it up... Worse case scenario is i buy a 92-95 civic shell and drop it in, then sell it...

Yah, i know...Lol... I just like the 5th gen style a little better... Although I can pic up a nice cb7 shell for cheeeeep... My friend is suppose to get with me whenever he decides to sell the motor... I figure 900 dollars for a built k20 is a killer deal to say the least... Ive been doing some research and trying to make a parts list...

Ive been studying what ghost accord did with the itb's made of gsxr 1k tb's... I think im gonna attempt it with a junk manifold and what not first... And try it out on my wifes 97...Teeheehee...But then im gonna mock up my own custom itb, made from the custom ported gsxr750 tb's off of my old bike... And use my alluminum velocity stacks as well...

sounds like a good start. 900bucks for a built K series is a steal!! Lucky find dude!
yeah the itb thing sounds like it should work out. I know the hard part is getting them tuned. Its hard to get the TB's all synchronized...but if you know of a good tuner they can do it I’m sure.
If done in a cb7 that would be really rare. I don’t even think I know of a k20 in a cb7 only k24

I wish i would have caught my eye on this thread before. this whole k20 in a cb7/cd5 has been my dream since i drove my buddies 07 civic si. cool thing is even the cd5 has a lower curb weight then the si so you should feel the similar power if not a little more.

ITB's are sweet, hopefully you can get it tuned correctly. if not id say start off with the stock manifold and just work with some bolt ons it would still be sick!

I know hasport makes mounts for the k series but it only fits the k24 motors i think. and the 5 speed trans i believe. might need some custom fab there.

Yah, thats gonna make it kinda hard... Cause if i do it, it will be a first to my knowledge... But maybe when it gets done, and a hella good write up is done, then more people will take it on... I love k20's though... First import i ever rode in was a 92 civic with a fully built and nos k20 in it... Was 392whp... I actually got to drive the car later on when i turned 16... Was pretty crazy stuff...If you find any info on the swap post a link for me...
