leak above sway bar bushing?

RE: leak above sway bar bushing?
the internals are what take the beating, if you want to put in higher quality parts that can take more of a beating you're looking at new crank, camshafts, valves, pistons, rods, valve springs, retainers.... basically a complete engine rebuild...

sooo, would a complete H22A engine and installation cost less than rebuilding the F22B1? Keep in mind that all the work on both sides will be done by a local shop. I'm clueless about the internals, at least in this part of my life.

If you're talking about the occasional romp on the gas pedal, don't bother. I really don't think you did any damage.
If you're looking for an excuse to upgrade($$), go for the H22. It should have more potential than the F22.

I would agree that the occasional romp isn't going to kill your car, I drove my cars (when I was younger) at two postions, WOT or idle and they survived... If you want to upgrade the H22 is an easy one to do, or rebuild with better internals and put on a turbo, the f22 is a great motor for turbo's....

RE: leak above sway bar bushing?
dododado... u cannnot damage a car in good running order by redlining it... its theoreticaly impossible... now if there is flaws in ur engine the engine might not like it... personaly... i redline my car atleast once a day... it actualy cleans and lubricates all the moving parts to a maximum... now when u do it cold... there are things that can happen... ur block could be so cold that the steel is actual weak and the high stresses could damage something but not likely... basicly the only things thats amazingly horrible for ur engine being cold would be to start it and then just start holding it at redline... if you have ever heard of the testing they do on engines... they throw them in a sub zero room and turn them on... put them at redline for 30 seconds then turn them off... let it cool down and do it again... its said to be the worst thing u can do to a engine... the engines normaly only run for a day or 2... a chevy v6 holds the record at just over a week...

that is very interesting imformation. I might wanna add that I have a small unknown oil leak. Mech. said it was VTEC switch or unit, he replaced it with a rebuilt one. Now it just drips about a drop every other day. Im taking it to another shop sometime to see what they say.

It would make sense that redlining your car after warming up cleans the engine. With the pistons moving so fast, carbon may/may not be burned off. Besides, its fun.
Question: What's the difference between an anti-sway kit and front struts? I know it stiffens the ride and "holds" the engine block better to prevent fishtailing...but what's the difference?

That's almost a new post topic. Well, OK, since the title here says 'sway bar'...
Anti-sway kit should be a stiffer 'sway' bar (actually anti-roll bar) along with mounting hardware, etc.
Front struts are new ones to replace the front struts on your car.
Different things, although both are parts of the suspension.
