Default Pully Bolt Loose, timing belt slipped-blam

Hi, here is what happend, Feb 23,07--98 Honda Accord Vtech 4cyl engine, daughter starts car hears ticking noise, drives for 1minute, cardies.Tow to Honda dealer, told thebottompullyboltwas very loose soboth pullyslipped and so did timing belt. You all know what happened, interference engine, pistons & valve meet, replace with used engine. I don't understand howthebottom pully bolt could come loose by itself?Had it in for aligment middle of Jan07for aligment at same Honda dealer.I raised the obvious question but thatall you can do. Not much driving done during those 3 weeks though. Confused.
Thanks the Dad

I'm probably mistaken but I thought the crank pulley had a key system so it would have had to come loose and slide out/off the key to slip.... Weird, I doubt the alignment had anything to do with it unless they intentionally loosened that bolt which would be impossible to prove and dumb to do.... When was the timing belt replaced? perhaps the didn't re-torque it to the proper specs.... That sucks man...

No work was done on engine other then routine maint, oil change, align plugs etc. No timing belt changes and yes the pully did slip past the key, the external accesory belts were off the buttom pully when the tow guy looked at it and his remark was hope its not siezed bearnings.
