sensor problem

Default sensor problem

i have a t reg 2 litre accord with a zetec engine can any body tell me what the sensor that is located on the top of the block at the back of the engine under the inlet manifold its just a threaded bolt with a green plug going into it as i have just broke mine off and dont know wether i can start the engine or drive the car so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks mark

now sure of the year, kind of sound like a knock sensor....got any pic's?

Sounds almost like a coolant temp sensor.

Car's description sounds like it's from the UK. I don't know what year "t-reg" means.

If it's an F-series engine, the sensor on the back of the block should be the knock sensor.

Oh that what it is ? Next to a black sensor with a black rubber boot on it. I saw that when i yanked my motor, my boss told me it's a coolant temp for the gauge. I know i shouldn't trust him.
