Exclamation Spontaneous Shut Down

My 1992 Honda Accord, 239109 miles, had been shutting down while running latly. It would be going smoothy, then cut out with a shake, resume then about thirty seconds latter it would compleatly die. After coming to a stop it would take two or three tries to start it then it would run again. This problem dissaperaed for about a month, then it compleatly went down. it hardly starts and when it does you can hear it missing and dies unless you hold rpms boarder red line. Any Ideas what could be wrong?

Is Check Engine Light ever on? If yes, see DIY section for code extraction.

Maintenance up to date? If not, new plugs and perhaps wires. Check wires w/ water spray at night. Any sparks mean new wires needed.

good luck

Can you make it happen by wiggling the key? Flaky ignition switches aren't exactly rare.

we're talking about the same problem over in another topic I believe. Check out "99 Accord shuts off when driving". Might shed some light on what it could be?
