If you are facing the engine it will be on the left hand side there is usually 2-3 bolts holding it on. Disconnect all the wires going to it. Remove the bolts (typically one on top of it and one below it, on occasion there will be one hiding on the backside of it that threads in from the opposit direction of the first two you remove), and it will slide out. Look at your new starter before you do it and that will be a good indicator of how many bolts hold it in (just see how many holes are threaded). Here is a picture of it. Hope it helps!

the starter is just left center in the engine bay in sits right on top of th transmission. when you take the bolts out, make sure to remember where they go because i think they are different sizes.
