Timing Belt
I had a new timing belt, water pump and tensioner put on. Car sounds different now when I drive it. Sounds like the belt is to tight or something and the car makes a loud vibration noise that sounds all thru the cabin. Is this normal and or do u think the belt was done inproperly.

RE: Timing Belt
I have the same darn thing, just changed the TB and Balancer belt, water pump. Engine is noisier if revved, just as described above. It sounds more powerfull, but I don't know if it trully is. Asked the mech's right away, they didn't know what i was talking about, since i know my car noises and they don't. They said if anything was wrong the check engine light would come on right away. The engine mount was removed for the job. '99 Accord 5spd, 2.3L.

RE: Timing Belt
If the balance shafts were timed incorrectly, would the engine vibrate badly at idle too? But anyway it's not that theengine vibrates, it is louder when at above 1500 rpms and gets louder as the rpm's go up. By louder i mean it is not how it used to be, it used to be whisper quiet, now it sounds like i got a hole in a muffler, but i don't. But it sounds that way inside the car, and there is small vibration going through the cabin.
