turbo need help

Default turbo need help

ok i have researched and have one question before i go any further which is better to turbo f22a or f22b?

I have been looking at the same thing and i think the F22A (luckily the on i have) is better b/c it is non-vtec which is better for more boost. or so i have been told by others on here. but you could always convert the F22B. Right?

depends on what f22b it is, b1 is vtec b2 isnt, and just straight up f22b is dohc non-vtec

i have the stright up f22b non v-tec and i have a f22a that already has ported and polished head i was trying to find out which is better to turbo the a is single over head cam and the b is double

i think the double gives you more compression on NA, but if you wanna turbo you have to lower compression by changing to low pistons and then boost it to get a nice compression.(uh?) i know it sound like your taking something to put some other stuff which will do the same thing but that's how it works... get the dohc

How woud a DOHC head give him more compression? That doesnt even make sense.

Alot more goes into calculating compression than what you have listed.

BCK: I think that Kevin is saying that the OP gets a higher compression stock with the DOHC motor, not that the head configuration creates the higher compression.
