Urgent, need advice ASAP. Car stuck downtown.
Hi all, I need opinions on what could have happened to my car.
Some time ago my clutch was rattling - took it to a car shop and they told me the problem was with the clutch - needs to be replaced
I didn't have the time or money to fix at the time and was driving with it, and lately it was very hard to put the clutch in gear.
In the past, when I was on a hill, when I put the clutch in it would make a noise, spin (with rpm's shooting up)and eventually get in gear and go.
Last night I was on a hill and it made the same sound and then sounded like something slipped, and a sound of metal pipe was dragging on the floor
I can put the car in gear but there is just spinning and nothing happens, sounds like a metal pipe is dragging along the ground even if I do not release the clutch.
Is there any chance it could be the springs that help connect the clutch better?
All feedback greatly appreciated, need to fix this tomorrow.
Thank you

The clutch is basically a disc, a bearing that the clutch disc spins on, a fork that moves the clutch in and out, a pressure plate which has torsion springs putting pressure on the clutch.
Sounds like the disc or the hydraulic cylinder that moves the fork is shot... take it to a shop and have them take a look at it, probably a somewhat expensive job.

I drive an manual accord 2003 V6, my transission or clutch died going up a hill, the next day I brought it to a mechanic And they told me that the transmission needed to be remplaced, They have ordered the peace from an 04. and now that its time to assemble I recieved a call from them telling me that I had a performence clutch installed on it and that I need to remplace the flywheel costing me another 500$ in order to mount the original clutch, They say that if I install a performence one the transmission might brake again. What should I do? help needed
