why do you curse the ivtec? if you brought that up because i said i4, i4=inline 4 cyl

*sighs* im talking about other pistons that dont come stock in a h22, this is just turning into a situation of youre either completely misinterpreting what im saying or you just dont care about what im saying. I never said that the stock pistons expand and ruin the engine for the h22 it would be stupid to even say that when theres prelude engines that have been running for over 200+k miles, before i asked what the stock pistons were made of to find out if they were a different material then say the stock pistons running in a f23/22 engine
You never made that clear from the beginning. I was just trying to figure out exactly what you were saying/asking. Has nothing to do with misinterpreting or not caring.

I wanna say that the stock H22 pistons (like F22/23's) are cast aluminum but the skirts are coated with iron, but don't quote me on that. The F22/23's don't have this problem b/c their cylinder walls are ductile iron.

i kinda did when i questioned what the h22 pistons were made of the first time. I wondered that because i would think even cast aluminum expand enough to be an issue with frm sleeves
