Default **Is My Tranny Going Bad... Again!?**

First of all, I am new to this forum so hello everyone! I have a '98 Honda Accord, 4cyl. 2.3L automatic. Today I replace the driver side ball joint. While I had the car up, I decided to change the transmission fluid. When I was complete, I started the car and the CEL came on. So, I brought it to Autozone for a scan and on the way there I noticed a delayed downshifting from 2nd to 1st. I find it weird this happened after I changed the tranny fluid because it did the same thing last year when my old tranny was going bad. Getting to a stoplight the car is experiencing a delay shifting. When I put the car in park, the rpm's are slightly elevated. None of this was going on before the fluid change. The code I received from Autozone is P0118-Coolant Temp Sensor. Does this error code have any relevance to the transmission or me changing the fluid? Has anyone experienced the same?

Did you use Honda ATF when you changed the fluid?

Take a look at the coolant temperature sensor and the electrical connector. That sensor is below the distributor and has an electrical connector with two wires going to it. The wire colors are grn/blk and red/wht.

Yes, I used genuine Honda automatic transmission fluid.
