Default 00-01 accords tranny extended warranty

I am sure a lot of you already know this information,, but for those of you who do not..

Honda has extended their warranty on 2000-2001 accords to 7 years or 100,000 miles,,,

if you experience any of these:

# 1 d4 lite flashes while driving
# 2 abnormal loud noise from tranny
# 3 very slow or delayed upshifts or downshifts
# 4 gear slippags durind upshift or downshifts

If you already have paid to have the tranny repaired or replaced and you got the receipts to prove it , and you had less than 100,000 miles,, call Honda customer service 1-800-999-1009 ,,,,you should be due for reimbursment ..

DesertHonda:
It may be too soon to ask, but how are the auto trans on the 2006 accords? I am servicing it regularly but continue to hear horror stories about Honda transmissions of the past.

At this time i have not heard of any issues with the 2006 trannies.. make sure to change fluid every 15k.. it is a bit sooner than Honda reccomends but trust me tranny will last a lot longer for the extra 30 dollars per year ,,and make sure to use HONDA ATF-Z1 tranny fluid
