00' v6 LX dies on startup every so often help pleae.
Hey, so i have a 2000 accord 3.0 v6 its been amazing to me for the last year but it has always had a reoccuring issue. It seems to be after i drive the car for semi long time or distance like 15-20 miles at least. So it drives good but ill drive for a little while then turn it off and when i go to turn it back on about 5-10 minutes later it starts right up but the rpms dont hold and the car shuts off. if i give it gas it will stay on but die after i let off. (it spudders a bit)But if i hold them at 2,000 for at least 1 or 2 minutes it will stay on reluctantly.
I went to advance the ran my codes it had a valve clearance issue egr valve and a miss fire. i had the egr taken off and cleaned thoroughly replaced the spark plugs and some people said it was the battery so i bought a 660cca expensive as **** battery. (for future system) and it kindof seems to be running worse im getting a prety good delay in time from hitting the gas untill pickup. i plan on taking it to the local honda dealer but its $120 just to read the codes so i kinda wanted to get a little advice. my friend at tire kingdom said it could be the cap or router on distributer or mass airflow sensor. anyways all help is appriciated.
