Default '00accord SRS light is on.

hey everyone, my SRS light just came on a few days ago, which I believe is the airbag light. I need to get my car inspected in the next few days and will fail if I have a light on. Any one have any idea why this is on/ how to fix it. any help would be appreciated.

You can try cleaning the switch in the buckle....

A recent poster had results by removing cover, dousing switch w/ WD40, and excercising by snapping belt into buckle, releasing, repeating.

good luck

The above link provides a means of manually extracting SRS codes. Interpretion may be difficult, but let us know what you find and we'll try to help.

good luck

I had the same problem twice on my 2000 Accord. Take it to the dealer, they will change out the belt clip for free. The last time I had mine replaced was last year at 150K miles. No warranty limit on safety equipment.
