Default 01 accord coupe ecu help... please

To start with, the car was fine, no symptoms, no problems, parked the car, it sat for about an hour, then wouldn’t turn back on. It cranks very healthy, but just won’t turn on. I have tryed main relay, distributor(the hole thing, with crank pos) and an ecu. The check engine light has always been on, but once it quit running, now I can’t get a light anymore, not even with the alternate ecu. I am mechanically savvy but have no idea what to do next other than take out the dash and start chasing wires. I have forced 12v threw pin 3 on main relay plug and still no light. My best understanding is that the ecu is not communicating, but even with a different ecu, no change. I have opened both ecu’s and found no signs of damage. Please help me.

Did you check for spark and fuel?
I wouldn't take the dash out, better to check every fuse...

and what do you mean by "no light"?

Isn't the code stored in the original ECU and wouldn't be in the replacement. If you unplugged it, it would erase and have to be triggered again before retrieving it. I'm just giving a guess

I checked all the fuses, and am not getting a spark. When you turn the car on the run position with the key, without trying to crank the car, you are supposed to see the check engine light, conferming that the ecu is receiving power, and giving a signal back to the system, but I have not been able to get the light to turn on.

Ok. I thought you were chasing a code not the initial check light

Double checking that you looked at the #6 fuse on the driver side and #6 in the engine compartment

If you have had a check engine light on for a while, you might have simply burned out the bulb.

Are you able to scan for codes before or after the PCM replacement?

Were you able to program the new PCM to accept the key through the immobilizer?

The ecu is not communicating. Neither one. What is most confusing to me is that there was no symptoms leading up to this. The car ran fine without the slightest of issues.

I would love to have an immobilizer issue right now, but I can’t get the car to recognize there is an ecu at all.
