Default 02 Accord Trans issues

I am also a first time Honda owner. In January of this year I bought a 2002 Accord 4cyl. automatic from a Honda Dealership. Has 153,000 Miles, it was bitterly cold the day I test drove it and when I took off the trans did slip just alittle, but I was also being gentle also. The car ran great and still does. It is now May and the car still operates the same. What happens is when taking off it seems to rev alittle high before shifting into 2nd gear and it will slip into gear, it does this into 2nd and 3rd only and seems to do it less when the car gets warmed up. You can actually get it to not slip at all but you have to just barely excellerate. The other thing it does is when I pull up to a stop, if I don't completely stop like I'm going to roll thru and I get back on the gas it's like the trans is still shifting down, like it hasn't caught up to what the car is doing, it will rev up alittle and then grab 2nd gear.A little slower and almost to a stop and it will go into 1st and take off right away like it should. I stopped and talked to a independent trans repair guy the other week and he thought that I should be having a check engine light going off because the ecm/pcm should notice the trans slipping ....any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Thank You. p.s.. the fluid is clean and not burnt and is up to the correct level.

the 98-02 automatics are in all honesty garbage. There are people that have replaced the transmission 5 or more times and sadly that is where your car is heading. My advise would be either sell it now or prepare for a transmission replacement within the next year.
