03 Accord auto tranny fluid help
I have a 2003 Accord v6 auto. and I can't seem to find the drain plug for the transmission. This is my first time trying to change the tranny fluid myself, but I have looked everywhere to WHERE exactly the drain plug is.
Its not perfectly labeled like the oil drain plug, and everywhere I try to read on how to do it, everyone replies to just "drain, refill" pretty much.
I have a haynes manual and it does not talk about servicing tranny fluids, nor does my honda manual show where the drain plug is.

IDK about you but my 03 accord manual says theres a drain bolt for the manual trans cars to allow the draining of fluid but nothing about an auto trans. You could just make a quick call to your dealer to figure this out. or just have them replace the fluid.

Hmmm maybe you should take it to a shop but if not get a 3/8 drive rachet, passenger side of the tranny pan towards the front there is a plug not a bolt use the rachet not a wrench to lossen kk turn towards front of the car until its out hope this helps ya

Ps if you decide to go to a shop make damn sure your front seal is not leaking before you leave reason when they hook up there machine to flush the trans fluid out if they have to much pressure it will blow your seal trannies only run in general about 7 to 10 lbs of pressure

Oh one more thing changing the oil is good but if have never changed the filter now would be a good time cuz changing just the oil and not the filter is like not changing the oil at all tranny filter is around 70 to 80 bucks plus the gasket

Looks like the drain bolt can be seen from the driver's side, towards the front of the transmission. Poke your head down under the driver's side headlight & look towards the trans. Look for a bolt with a square hole, that accepts a 3/8 socket extension without any socket.
In this picture, #11 is the drain bolt, #8 is the fill bolt.
In the next picture, #7 seems to be some kind of filter.
Finally, Honda trannys don't like to be "power-flushed". Drain & fill is the thing to do.

I think those pictures are from Honda's electronic parts catalog, because several on-line parts places have the same pictures. They're really not as good as the pictures & procedures in a Helm shop manual, but they're OK for a lot of things.
