Default 03 Accord Transmission Problem...NEED HELP!!!

I have an 03 Accord Ex V6 Automatic and have had problems with the transmission. I originally took it to Honda where they told me I needed an entirely new transmission. After this, I decided to get a second opinion and took it to a transmission place where I was told that the transmission is probably fine. They told me that the more likely problem is either the throttle position sensor or the vehicle needs a pcm re-flash. They unfortunately did not have the equipment needed to do this and said that I should probably take it back to Honda. When I go back, I just want to be well informed before they try to screw me again. The car generally drives fine but does jerk occasionally especially when the engine gets warm. It will jerk a bit and than drive fine after that. I want to know from others if the 2 things that the Transmission place told me would prevent themselves like a transmission problem and if they are actually the likely problem and the car doesn't need a new transmission. Hopefully, my problem is clear to you all and you can help me, if not just ask me what you don't understand and I will clarify it for you. Thanks in advance guys!

"Jerking" is hard up shifts or down shifts, or jerky motions while at steady speeds?

Is engine possibly missing and causing jerking?

good luck

I would be inclined to believe the Honda dealership, because they've likely seen this problem before. You could take it to another dealership, and get a second opinion, but that's going to cost a few bucks. Of course you could pay for a re-flash, and a throttle position sensor, and still have a failing transmission. Maybe mention the re-flash and sensor prognosis to the other dealership. Ultimately, it's your decision, good luck.

Its jerky motions while at steady speeds. It feels like the gears are slipping. The transmission shop mechanic told me that it downshifts into 2nd when the engine warms up. It doesn't always do it though and it will do it and than drive fine usually after that.

Yeah, I was thinking about. Any idea how much both of those cost though because I have no clue.

Default About sick of this accord

So far in 3 YEARS, I have had to replace the transmission 3 times.
this will be the 3rd transmission I've put in this car.
I LOVE my car. i really do. but i would like for it to go more than 35,000 miles before blowing the trans apart.
yes i drive the car a little harder than most, but i also have a stage 2 clutch, 10lb fly wheel, and high performance axles, i have invested a lot of money and time in this car and now im getting sick of its lack of reliability.

anyone have an idea of WHY this keeps happening?

this first failure was when the main shaft splines decided to give up and break,
now keep in mind, that the main shaft doesn't lose contact with the drive gears and there was NO explanation from HONDA of AMERICA, and 2 transmission specialists of why the splines/gears/teeth broke and wore down.
it had fluid, and it was still blued and i was told it got to hot... to hot? i dont tow with the car.

am i in need of a trans cooler? wtf
