Default 03 Accord V6 - Power Steering Pump Inlet Removal

How do you get to that bolt that holds the inlet joint to the PS pump. I have no room for a socket, a wrench hits a poor angle and only messes the head of the bolt up.....

any ideas?

Thank you,

J

You should be able to do it with a small 10mm wrench. Use the boxed end of the wrench, so the wrench is bent out from the bolt. The drive belt is in the way, so you can only put the wrench on as high as the belt will allow. If this still doesn't work, you may have to remove the drive belt, and maybe even the power steering hose, to give yourself more room. Make sure you are turning the bolt in the right direction.

Also, a 6 point boxed end wrench is better than a 12 point, to avoid rounding off the bolt.

Perfect, thank you! I didn't think about the angled boxed end wrench.
